Sissoni Style Files – Tan Leather

Everything I’m drawn to of late seems to be leather products in tan. Mostly these come in the form of chairs, but there are other objects, both in my home and wardrobe that definitely reflect this obsession. I think it all started with an amazing boho tan leather handbag I bought in Argentina last year. For a woman whose taste generally floats around the monochromatic, scandanavian side of the colour palette, tan leather is a fantastic way to generate some texture, warmth and interest in a space (and yes you will hear me bang on about texture and warmth quite a bit on this website!). So today’s Sissoni Style File is in honour of my tan leather obsession – I hope you get on board!

  1. Blu Dot Aus – Toro Lounge Chair $1,999
  2. Barnaby Lane – Smith chair $850
  3. Hendrix & Harlow – Square leather pouffe (Deep tan) $209
  4. Maison & Maison – Goat Hide Pouffe $279
  5. Lifestyle by Cara- Etsy store_Tripolina Butterfly chair $402
  6. Made Measure – Leather Coat Hook (saddle tan) $90

Probably my favourite in the Sissoni Style file today is this Blu Dot chair. Oh the curves!

Ok so this isn’t strictly tan leather, although it does come in a tan option, this blush colour mixes things up a bit and will go with absolutely anything for years to come. You will have to get in quick to secure one of these babies as they’re a hotly coveted item at the moment.

The Moroccan pouffe from Hendrix & Harlow is a bit more classic than your usual Moroccan ottomans and will be a keeper for years to come. So versatile as well you could use it in any room or get creative and throw it in the car and take it on picnics with you!

I couldn’t have a collection of tan leather without including a butterfly chair of some description. This one has a bit of an industrial edge which I like.

Ok so technically this isn’t tan leather either but who can go past a goat hide ottoman…? It has warmth and texture in spades and just got added to my personal must have list.

And last but not least, the most unique of the tan leather products is the Coat Hook from Made Measure. Very clever use of leather in what is a very functional and useful addition to any home. How do you feel about tan leather and are you loving it as much as I am? Is it a passing fad or is it here to stay do you think?
